The Grace Community Food Pantry is open today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. via drive-thru at 245 Education Way, Bunnell. Pastor Charles Silano and Grace Community Food Pantry, a Flagler County disaster relief organization, are in charge of organizing the food pantry. Feeding Northeast Florida assists local families, children, and active and retired military personnel who are struggling to put food on the table, as well as elders. Collaborating with nearby supermarkets, producers, and farms, we salvage premium food that would otherwise go to waste and turn it into meals for the underprivileged. A large portion of the food pantry’s operations and storage space are provided by the Flagler County School District. Give 386-586-2653 a call to volunteer, give, or offer assistance.

Contrasts: New York Times reporter Ezra Klein in his August 1 podcast saysVance, J.D.The far left’s radicals are fully aware of what they oppose, therefore they don’t require a coherent statement of their beliefs. What ties big pharma lobbyists, Islamists, gender studies majors, and socially liberal white urbanites together? It isn’t the beliefs of Karl Marx or even Thomas Jefferson. It’s animosity. They despise everyone in this room. The president of the United States is hated by them. Above all, they despise anyone who supported that US president in the most recent November election. This is the guiding idea of the far-left in America. Daniel Boorstin’s disgusting little book, The Decline of Racism: Reflections on America Today, from 1969 contains a section that seems awfully similar to this one: Today’s New Barbarians in America originate internally rather than externally. Despite their small numbers—possibly less than 2% of the 200 million Americans—they provide a unique threat due to their dispersion, untamed nature, and lack of organization. They don’t have a single headquarters to inspect or a single philosophy to oppose. However, they are just as barbaric, untamed, and primitive as if they had originated in the Vandals’ or Visigoths’ homeland. They are strangely frightening since they originate from within and are somehow a byproduct of our civilization, but it does not make them any less savage. By the way, Gerald Ford, who was named head of the Library of Congress six years later in 1975, wrote this. His name was Boorstin.According to The Decline of Radicalism, the reactionary strain in American society has existed since the two Mathers (Cotton and Increase, not to mention John Cotton), if not before John Winthrop set foot on American soil. It is not something that was created by Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan, or Donald Trump. Any day now, give me Roger Williams.

A lot of information about Cotton Mather’s psychology is revealed in this passage. It was evident that these images were caused by aberrant stimuli acting on a neurotic disposition. Precocity and an unnatural regimen exacerbated the strained neurological system he inherited from both sides of his family. A Puritan forcing hothouse plant was the unavoidable outcome. Egoism was the foundation of his religious exaltation. He had cosmic conceit. He regarded himself as a heavenly candle that had been lit by God’s personal hand, a beacon atop a hill. The success or failure of God s plan for New England, he believed, rested on his shoulders; and with such heavy responsibilities devolved upon him he was driven, hot-haste, by the prick of urgency. Haste is necessary for the king’s business. Sluggards cannot wait on the Lord’s work. Then, O To work as fast as you can, he wrote in The Magnalia, and of soul-work and church-work as much as ever you can. Say to all Hindrances You ll excuse me if I ask you to be short with me, for my work is great and my time is but little.’ And so with an amazing activity that was little short of neurosis, he gave himself over to the great business of managing the affairs of New England in accordance with God s will.
