Employees of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office have contributed $24,030 to the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches (FSYR), bringing their total contributions to the FSYR since 2017 to over $204,000. At today’s Florida Sheriffs Association semi-annual meeting, Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly gave FSYR President Maria Knapp the most recent employee donation check.

Every child should have the chance to achieve, according to Sheriff Rick Staly, who stated that the agency and he have been supporting the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches for years. I’m really proud of our staff members who not only put in a lot of effort to serve and safeguard our community, but also annually donate to the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, transforming the lives of our young people.

Sheriff Staly formerly held the position of Chairman of the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches Board of Directors for six years.

Established in 1957, the FSYR has been enhancing the lives of children who are at risk by providing comprehensive programs that are offered throughout the state of Florida at multiple sites. More than 177,000 children and families in Florida are said to have benefited from the FSYR. Their goal is to create law-abiding, resilient, and productive individuals while preventing delinquency.

For young people throughout Florida, the FSYR instills strong work values, integrity, quality, a feeling of duty, and character development. “Mending Lives, Healing Hearts” is the motto of FSYR.
