Alaria Krivoshey, a Take Stock in Children mentee, has joined Chiumento Law as a summer intern, the firm announced today. Diane Vidal, a partner at Chiumento Law and the director of our Probate & Estate Planning division, serves as Alaria’s mentor.
A statewide initiative called Take Stock in Children offers college scholarships, academic help, and mentorship to worthy children, paving the road for their success after high school. The program is run in Flagler County by the Flagler County Education Foundation, which collaborates with local partners such as Chiumento Law to pair students with experts who can support their academic, professional, and personal development.
Vidal is a member of the Flagler Education Foundation’s Legacy Committee and has mentored children via the Take Stock in Children program. As a mentor, Vidal helps kids navigate high school and get ready for their futures by offering advice, support, and practical knowledge. Her commitment to mentoring others is a reflection of her desire to mold the future generation of leaders in all professions, not just law.
It’s a full circle experience to see Alaria develop and now have her join our company as a summer intern, Vidal added. She embodies the values of Take Stock in Children and everything we stand for at Chiumento Law with her professionalism, curiosity, and drive to learn.
A limited number of student interns who express interest in Chiumento Law for their future careers are hosted by the firm each summer. In addition to helping with administrative duties and gaining personal experience in a professional legal setting, interns have the chance to shadow attorneys. The objective is to build job skills, promote civic responsibility, and expose students to legal career opportunities.
Founder Mike Chiumento stated, “As a company with strong roots in our community, we believe in investing in its future.” We are able to inspire the upcoming generation of legal professionals and give back in a significant way through our mentorship and internship programs with charities like Take Stock in Children.
Chiumento Law is still dedicated to forming educational alliances that uplift Flagler County and provide local students more authority. We are thrilled to have Alaria join us this summer and are eager to help her achieve even more.
