Early polls of the potential 2028 Republican contest to succeed Donald Trump show that Florida’s governor is still having difficulty.
According to an Emerson College survey, Vice President JD Vance’s 53% support in North Carolina is far greater than Ron DeSantisha’s 7%.
The survey was conducted from July 28 to July 30.
In recent years, DeSantis has given the state his time and wealth.
Operation Blue Ridge, which involved the Florida Division of Emergency Management, Florida State Guard, Florida National Guard, Florida Department of Transportation, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, Florida Law Enforcement Coordination Task Force, and a Law Enforcement Strike Team, was the relief and rescue effort that DeSantis started following Hurricane Helene.
When he ran for president in 2023, he also conducted a campaign in the state. Restoring Braxton Bragg’s name was one of his pledges; even the rebel army’s markings failed to differentiate Braxton Bragg’s legacy as a Confederate leader. to the temporarily renamed Fort Liberty, a move he compared to attempts to remove the statues of Abraham Lincoln in Boston, Teddy Roosevelt in New York City, and George Washington from San Francisco schools.
Once more, the name is Fort Bragg, but this time it honors paratrooper Roland Bragg instead of the general it once honored.
