On October 5, 2025, the City of Palm Coast and AdventHealth Palm Coast are pleased to announce the Pink Army 5K. Our community uses the funds raised from this unique event to support breast cancer screening, education, and awareness.
As stated by John Subers, Executive Director of AdventHealth Palm Coast Health Foundation, “there’s something powerful about seeing a sea of pink winding through our streets.” Its message is more powerful than words. It conveys to everyone battling breast cancer that this community is there for them, supports them, and fights alongside them.
Bringing the community together is always amazing, but it’s made even better by being able to make a meaningful contribution that raises awareness of the disease, said James Hirst, director of parks and recreation for Palm Coast. We want everyone to know they are not alone, from individuals who have been diagnosed with this illness to the friends and family who provide support. The Palm Coast City supports them.
Over 600 individuals have benefited from the program thus far, undergoing over 1,000 breast cancer and diagnostic procedures. The event’s entire revenues go directly toward providing early dedication screening, cancer education materials, and cancer diagnostics and screening to eligible Flagler County people. The acquisition of the latest da Vinci 5 robotic equipment, which aids in intricate cancer-related surgeries, is supported by additional funding.
